Zach brings a swiss-army knife of skills and capabilities to JDI. He rises to the challenge of urgent problems, be that a network outage, an office without coffee, or a client with a pressing deadline for design collateral. At the same time, his colleagues value him for his diligence and thoroughness when shaping our environment.

Zach studied architecture at the University of Maryland, and that study informs his interest in operations and creativity. An architect seeks to design a building with both perfect form and function, and Zach’s roles at JDI follow that pattern.

As a designer, Zach’s work most commonly focuses on advertising or marketing and sales materials. However, his projects span video, photography, email templates, website and publication design. He approaches design in a structural way, considering functionality first and foremost. Zach also developed and piloted the concierge program at Totem, the hosted press page company.

Zach serves as JDI’s office and IT manager. He has been integral to the planning, design and build of JDI’s office and maintains all IT and communications needs for the company. He works to ensure our team can be comfortable and productive every day, both physically and technologically.

Zach is a Baltimore native, and worked for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to preserve and protect Maryland’s natural resources. Zach enjoys spending time with his nieces and nephew and rewatching The Wire.
